Why I’m Roadtripping to 35 Cities in 40 Days

--

Musicians tour to different cities to play for and meet their fans. Athletes travel the country playing in arenas and stadiums in various cities in front of thousands of fans. Even politicians have to traverse the state or country to meet their constituents and potential voters. Needless to say, traveling to a number of cities around the country to meet with fans and followers is a tried-and-true method to build a national community and movement.

35 Cities in 40 Days…proof that startup CEOs are the new rock stars!

So it only makes sense that the CEO of Localeur (that’d be me), beginning April 21, launch a Localeur version of a nationwide tour in which I’ll be traveling to 35 cities around the country to meet with locals and local business owners to find out what makes each of these cities great! After it took nearly 26 months for us to reach 500,000 users and just five months to reach the next 500,000, we are currently on pace to reach 2 million users with 300% less funds than it took us to reach the first 1 million. Part of the reason for this rapid and capital efficient growth has been our ability to share our focus on authenticity, curation and quality with locals around the country, many of whom are Millennials in major U.S. cities like NYC and LA.

So beginning next week, I’ll begin a roadtrip by making my way from Austin to Charleston then up the East Coast to Boston followed by a trek west to Minneapolis-St. Paul and further west to Seattle before driving down the Pacific Coast to Los Angeles and then back to home base here in Austin.

I’ve always loved road trips. As Localeur seeks to reach a new level of awareness and adoption, this trip is going to be an exciting and fun way to get more familiar with all of the cities we’re already in and some of the cities we plan to launch in the coming months (a total of 20 new city launches).

If you’re a local in one of these cities or have friends who are, please don’t hesitate to drop me a note on Twitter @joahspearman or a comment and tag a friend (local to any of the cities listed below) on Instagram @Localeur. I’d love to meet!

See you soon, America!

I believe. I have ideas and turn some into businesses. Sometimes I run long distances. Chris Nolan, ATCQ, Lake Como & Murakami are my favorites. @joahspearman
